Dear Jackson,
I needed to write to you as well and tell you how much we all love you and are so excited to see you. You have a whole family that has been waiting and preparing for you for the last 9 months plus. I am your grandma and I have so many plans for you and your cousin Boston you two boys will have so much fun. We will make cookies, play in the backyard, swing, cuddle, snuggle, watch movies, talk and take long walks and there is so much more.
Jackson I want you to know what a wonderful father you have. He is a good, kind, caring man. Your daddy has been so excited from the moment that he found out you were on your way to be a part of his life. He began right away to prepare things and make changes in his life to ensure that you were and are his number one concern. Even though things were difficult with your mother and him, your daddy was there with her throughout the entire time. They always spoke of you and how they would raise you together through joint custody.
We enjoyed being with your mother throughout her pregnancy she was with us for your cousin Boston’s baby shower and for yours’. She and Emery went with us to Uncle Tom’s cabin for the 24th of July which is a fun family tradition. Uncle Josh and Aunt Judy take their four wheelers up and give rides I am sure that you will love doing this as well. All through the fall she and your daddy spent endless hours together, going to lunch & dinner, movies and just texting and talking on the phone.
During the Christmas season excitement was in the air because we all knew you would be here soon!! Your mother and Emery came over and played in the toy room and checked out your nursery, your mom’s favorite is the pink flamingos.
At the family Christmas Gingerbread party, your mom and dad built a great gingerbread house with a Laughy Taffy roof. We also found out that you are getting two more second cousins, how exciting. On the 19th of December your Uncle Josh and Brandon threw a baby shower for your daddy. Your mom came, we all played games and enjoyed food and discussed how you, Boston and Easton would have so much fun together, just like your dad, Josh and Brandon used too. Your mom and daddy were very cuddly and cute together, there was no question that they were excited for you. Your daddy kept feeling you kick, you were one active little guy.
Grandpa and I went shopping and found a little red Christmas dress with white furry trim, now we knew with all the little boys none of them would need such a sweet dress, but your sister Emery would look adorable in it, so we just had to buy it! Your mom was very happy with it and said Emery had worn it on Christmas day.
On Christmas your daddy got a new car seat and stroller, it is a jogging one we had a great time teasing him about it. He put it together and gave it a test run right away. You got so many presents for Christmas because your daddy only asked that everyone buy things you would need and not for him.
After Christmas, the day before you were born December 28th, your mom, dad, Emery, great grandma, Aunt Hailey, cousins and I went to Temple Square to see the lights. Your mom and dad were holding hands and pushing Emery in her stroller, we have some great pictures. Your dad held Emery up to see the lights and talked with her about you and how they would be able to do this next year too. You were very active I felt you kick and knew that it wouldn’t be much longer. Your mom had been telling us that you were scheduled to be born on January 12th c-section. The last time I was close to you was when I hugged your mom goodnight and told her how happy and excited I was for the 12th of January so I could finally hold you. She agreed and she was so happy.
Since that day everything has gone crazy.
I just want you to know that you are LOVED and WANTED and have always been. We want you home as quickly as possible. I truly believe in my heart that you are safe and being cared for. My heart goes to the sweet people who have you and I am sure that once they know that you were not “given” but “taken” they would not and could not keep you from your daddy. I truly believe that they are good people and will do what is right.
I pray every day for everyone involved and hope that once the truth is told, you will be able to come home where you belong with your daddy.
Jackson we love you more and more everyday and only want the best for you, you are my grandson and you hold a special place in my heart no matter if you are close or far. Love cannot tell time nor does it know distance, there are no binds to hold it – Jackson you are loved!!!
See you soon,
Love always Grandma
