Baby Jackson:
I have been thinking about you endlessly. The court process takes so long, and I can't wait any longer to tell you how excited I am to get to see your sweet little face. I can't wait to count your ten little toes and fingers, and to stroke my hands through your hair. You are 5 weeks old tomorrow and there is not a minute that goes by that I don't think about your charming personality that is developing. I can't wait to hear your sweet giggles and see your precious little body in my arms.
I saw a little baby today, and of course I thought of you. I have your bassinet by my bed with the sheets all washed and ready for you. I went in to your nursery today and picked up one of your newborn outfits and couldn't believe that you are probably almost grown out of these, and needing to move up to the 3 month size, especially if you are built anything like your cousin Boston. I got to play with him on Sunday and kept him entertained for you while you are gone. You boys are going to have so much fun together, but I am sure his parents and I are going to have our hands full when you begin moving around.
I keep thinking about the last time I got to talk with you and feel you kick on the night before you were brought into this world. Your mom and I went and looked at the beautiful lights downtown at the LDS temple. You were actively moving and I constantly replay those moments over and over in my head.
I never wanted you out of my sight, but I hope that you are warm and safe wherever you are.
I am so excited to see you! I can't wait to kiss, hug and cuddle with you. I am so excited to read books to you. I have "I Know My Daddy Loves Me" by your crib to read to you as soon as you come home.
Jack, I love you and miss you! See you soon!
Love always,
daddy
My thoughts and prayers are with you Jake. I too have baby clothes for Jackson. I love you all so much.
